Shine is expanding services for patients and families who need orofacial myofunctional therapy. We recognize this is a rapidly changing area with growing awareness of the importance of the identification and treatment of tongue and lip ties, improvement of oral resting posture, a proper swallow, lip closure with nasal breathing, sleep health, elimination of damaging oral habits, and interventions related to speech and feeding. We have built a network of professionals, a true village, to assist us in helping patients and families through this often complex area! Dr. Shahan has pursued extensive training and continues to stay very active in the “myo” world due to her dedication to assisting with the overall health impact of assessment and treatment of orofacial myofunctional disorders.
